Uwayo and Cathy opened Karibu Tours Rwanda in January 2006, and run their company on a personal basis.  Each guest is met by either Uwayo or Cathy at the airport and together we will go through your safari plan to ensure you get maximum exposure to Rwanda’s culture and life.
Our driver guides are selected for their honesty and integrity as well as their driving abilities and knowledge of Rwanda.  No matter which itinerary or route you may choose, be assured, you will be well informed of all the attractions and hidden treasures Rwanda has to offer. 
Karibu Tours is based in Musanze District in the North Province of Rwanda, only 12 kms from Volcanoes National Park’s “Mountain Gorillas”, but has full knowledge of all Rwanda’s Provinces and Districts.

For those of you who want the best opportunities to get your “photos of a lifetime”, Karibu Tours offers a 5 day itinerary that takes you to places others do not go.  Out of the way villages and lake view drives that guarantee you fabulous photo opportunities. 

Community Adventure
On this 4 day itinerary you are able to immerse yourself in the local culture.
Visit school children in their classroom, local workers at their place of business i.e.: brick makers, medicine men, furniture making and many local artisans and the children of a local orphanage.

Luxury Tour
Karibu Tours has assembled a 5 day tour of the best that Rwanda has to offer. 
Arriving in Kigali you will spend your first night at the Intercontinental Serena, a 4 star accommodation that will allow you to pamper your jet lag away.  The next morning you will be driven to Ruhengeri for a tour of the city and a chance to purchase locally made arts and crafts.  This evening will be spent at a beautiful lodge in Kinigi, so you are prepared for an early morning, to ensure your place for an exciting gorilla trek.  A relaxing afternoon back at the hotel, a delicious supper and you will be ready for day 3 which will take you to Butare.  Butare is home to Rwanda’s National University and Museum.   A bustling town with many shops and restaurants, Butare will keep you occupied all afternoon.  A beautiful late afternoon drive into Nyungwe Forest where you will be accommodated at a private residence on a coffee/tea plantation.  In the morning you may choose to trek chimpanzees or Colobus monkeys, or take a leisurely stroll through the plantation to learn about Rwanda’s #1 export.  After another relaxing evening in Nyungwe, your final day will be a leisurely drive back to Kigali. 

Outdoorsman’s Dream
For those of you who want action and adventure this is the itinerary for you.  Gorilla trekking, a 2 day climb up Karisimbi, and hiking round Lakes Burera and Ruhundo will allow you to see some of the most beautiful scenery Rwanda has to offer.
